I hope you're not serious. Someone want to talk shit on Dilla for sampling Metroid? You think all of DOOM's comic interludes came straight from vinyl? What about sampling cassette tapes? They're cool? then why not up your game with a CD?

Hip-hop is doing something big, with little means. I don't even have enough money to consistently buy vinyl (at least as much as I want to) so I sometimes sample youtube. Is that any less hip-hop?

I dont mean sampling songs off of youtube, by the way. That's corny. I mean things that are only on youtube if you catch my drift. Also, I love vinyl and my beats average about 2 or 3 records per song, but the main reason I love vinyl is because you can bag records that contain stuff unavailable anywhere else. But guess what? there's stuff not available on vinyl.

what happens if say you drop an mp3 into serato and sample off the vinyl from that? does that replicate the sound n warmth of true vinyl or not?

if it costs fifty bones, it's not worth it, stop going to the local record stores and go to a Salvation Army joint, you'll find Gems for like Quarters.......or even dimes.....I've found plenty of 'em........

if you really want to find that record, just Google it and see if the **** is online. I don't care about the sounds no more beccause I'm trying to achieve MY sound, **** the WARMTH of the record.........where the hell did that shit come from, are you an Audiophile or something? I don't care as long as I have the sounds to compliment my equipment...and I can chop them hoes......

just look deep for cheap shit,

what's wrong with Youtube sampling, I've done it with cats practicing their guitars and shit, I don't do the real artists though, I might as well just own the joint, LOL, but I will sample ****** fiddlin' with their guitars or pianos

thanks man, i have realised this lesson, the expensive ass records aint worth it it get REALLY pricey! its kinda like buying beats lol cos ur spending so much for a sample. thanks man.

Um...I'm pro youtube (and everything) sampling. Vinyl is an awesome way to get samples, but I don't believe it should be limited to that. I sample youtube occasionally and I'm all for it. reread my posts?
