Sorry, but this isnt a which is better thread... this was a show you how too thread... its only a matter of opinion as usual, its up to the user... why dont you try both ways, and decide which better fits your needs

I have that and an Axiom61. The thing I'm trying to figure out is, do I need a mixer?

For the audio I mean or can I just sync and track it out with out a mixer?

Right now I have it MIDI Out Axiom/MIDI In1 MPC 1000.

I gotta play with it some more when I get more time to. Well I know I'm going to need and mixer for when i get my turntable for sampling.

What Audio Interface are you using with Pro Tools M Powered

MobilePre USB. Just a glorified pre amp, no MIDI.

If you dont have any other external things playing sound, then you dont need a mixer at the moment... as long as you can hear all the things that you are playing with(such as the MPC through your USB Pre)

Trying to figure out how i would connect it? Through a line input?

They are mono though and the MPC has a stereo output.

So would it be: MIDI into Axiom61 - Output into preamp input?
