Help with partition on iomega zip 250

Hello,

does the partitioning process of an iomega zip 250 takes a lot of time
with a mpc 3000LE ?

After formating the drive, the screen where there is the number of partition to set
appears, i click on DO IT, the work seems to get done as the zip drive give signs of activity like when formating, but after a few seconds the activity stops but the MPC is still telling "Partitionning The Drive", can't get out of this menu, while the zip drive can't eject/be turned off by pressing the power button ... ?

Anyone has idea ?

grrrrr i'm going mad i can even hear 9 little "noise" inside the drive for the 9 partition being done but after that everything go paralysed, why why please someone heellllp

If i turn the power of the mpc after the drive it go paralysed too on the searchin for the scsi ...


while when doing the procedure for formating the drive, it find it, with the good id, tell me the good zip size etc ... and formating it without problem but after it stops working ...

Have you considered that you may have a bad zip drive? Has it ever worked?

well it's the first time i use it ... and i was told it hasn't been used a lot before,
anyway i'm new with this kind of drive, but the fact that it seems to work
(doing the format of the zip, givin the good id and size of the zip etc...),
but with a failure end without message from the mpc or anything (everything paralysed),

i don't know what to think, but if you tell me that this problem can't come from the mpc
and it must be the drive i'll try to get another one, don't have other choice anyway ...
