MPC w MBox question

I want to play my drums on the mpc, and I want my synths sounds to be soft synths – which would be coming from the computer, and played through a midi controller. How do I hook it all up? Can I use the MPC sequencer then record everything into protools? Would an MBox 2 be enough? Or is easier to run everything into a computer sequencer like Cubase?

It all Depends on the Softsynths you wanna use... and is that all the equipment that you will be using, or is there more as well, such as a MIDI Keyboard Controller, etc.....

The questions you're asking lets it be known that you're very green at this. What do you want to do? The reason I say this is you're looking for other opinions instead of building one for yourself, which is a dangerous move IMO.

Take a look at what features you like in a daw then take it from there. I assume you already have Cubase. And if so, learn to use it. You don't need to invest in a MagicBox2, it ain't going to make your situation any different than it is now.

But let us know what type of audio interface you're using, that is if you do have one.
