Playing/recording on few different channels at once is not possible on mpc1000. Besides there are 2 ports(32ch), you can record tracks one by one and playback on those channels. You can also play/record few different "instuments" from your synth but on ONE midi channel at once.

this is false and misleading. you seem to correct it in the rest of your post when you explain further, but playback of those 32 midi channels simultaneously is fully possible. you just have to record each one separately.

you explained this later on, but I just have a problem with that first sentence -- the "playing" part.

just nitpicking here :wink:

that wasent really what i was after thoe..
i ment.. if i have my waldorf on midichannel5 in the mpc, and of course waldorf is set to 5 also.
how will i get those multiparts? diffrent midi channels i my mpc?

oh, sorry :) I meant playing *live* -at the same time- as opposed to playing *back* things on different channels.
