Songs Keep Disapearing

I posted a few days ago about a song that got deleted. Now it seems this has happened to 4 or 5 different songs AT LEAST! wtf is happening? What could be the cause for this type of problem? I have a 100mb zip drive and an mpc 2000xl.This only seems to be an issue when saving midi sequenced data.

Ok. I'm using the xl as my sequencer primarily, everything midi. Shift + save, under TYPE: Save All Sequences & Songs. Under File: the name of song. I pressed DO IT, I pressed SAVE in the Save All file window with File Name: listing the correct name of the song I was working on. In the File Exists screen I pressed RENAME then an error showed up way too quick for me to read accurately but it looked like it read FAT ERROR. And like that my song was gone.

Lampdog, From what I've read your understanding of this machine is insane. Any advice from you would be a huge help and greatly appreciated.

My brother gave me the old ass zip disk I been using for years and I think he had it and used it for years too. I don't know if that has anything to do with anything but when I searched the forum about this some people were talking about corrupted disks so I figured I'd mention that also.

So it did say FAT ERROR. Thanks for the advice and keep up the good work. If I was you I'd start an MPCU or something.

I knew they were outdated. I had no idea they would delete content. So, yeah, wow...
