akai going under?

a friend at sam ash warned me that akai may be on thier way out of business.. stating that there operations in america are being closed, thier having a null result when trying to get akai merchandise.. and the only way the can get any answer or talk with any akai people is to call japan... now me my self if this is true.. i feel sort of betrayed.. but at the same token these mpcs will be considered classic machines..and prices will rise.. but what about us...

errrr akai and akai distrubuters are differnt things,in the uk,akai's distubution company went bust ,and no one could get akai units for about six months,then arbiture took over and things went back to normal.

I go to this Sam Ash in Long Island and I always hear them tlaking out there ass.
Dude told me they dont make 4000, and always pushing the MV on people. Dude, I ready to knock him out everythime I go in there.
