LCD Sceen: where can I buy one?

Howdy folks

I hope this is in the right forum...

As the title suggests, I'm looking for a new screen for my baby... I checked MPCStuff but they have none in stock...

does anyone know anywhere else that sells them?
did a google search and to no avail... Ebay also, no go...

any ideas?

Damn I wish you had put that up before I ordered mine from VST. Including the damn UPS brokerage it cost me over $400CAD.

leaving the MPC on for days will wear out the screen.

I heard turning it off and on alot is more damaging than leaving it on with the contrast turned all the way down. It's not surprising they fail considering the original screens are over 10 years old and LCD technology is mediocre at best.

Anyone else have one available for the 2000xl? I've tried the usual outlets, mpcstuff, vst, and cimple. All say out of stock. Getting a little frustrated trying to find one. I'm thinking I'll have to wait for the random EBAY auction. Unless anyone knows other sources?

I'm sure theres a way to take a screen from another Akai sampler and the connection will work but I have no clue what sampler.

I don't think there's any other Akai sampler with the same screen than the 2000/2000XL. For the 3000 and 60, yes, but not the 2k.
