MPC repair

I pretty sure my warrenty is void but I was wondering if anyone has some information on how good VST is about repairs. I have some dead buttons and its not the button but the actual part of the board, the part the button presses on the board is depressed and doesnt click back up anymore. I have to mash the button really hard to get the D bank and the 16 levels to respond. Anyone know how much this might cost or had experience with VST repairs? Thanks.

I would trust them. But thats me. I think they would rather help that not because there base is MPC or (name of sampler here) repair and replacement shop. I think they also own a beat sound web site...

As for price, call... see what they have to say about your issue, have you taken your machine aprt at all?? Could it be just the buttons on you unit are broken and not the actual board piece??

What's broken is the tact switch. Its a very simple repair, so any electronics repair shop can fix it, but I'd recommend you go to a repair shop that specializes in musical instruments (synths, etc.). VST can obviously do it, but unless you live right down the street from them, it really makes no sense to add shipping costs for such a simple repair.

It would take you no time to fix it if you or a friend has a little soldering skill.
All you need is a Soldering iron, a Solder Sucker and a new Tact switch.
You can get all those from you local electronics store all for under $20
I would look into repairing it your self.
Just grab the supplies and practise some soldering and de-soldering.
Practise on a broken or usless old bit of elecrtonic gear till your confident enough to do it to your mpc.
