Oh God, i am stuck, with my 1st post i am asking a Question!!

I connected my PMC500 to an external Keyboard controller , now by pressing a key on the keyboard i should be able to hear my samples, I hear it, but not all of them!!
How could i assign a midi note a sample ???


Please Help !!!

I dont know what a sapmle is and i am not familiar with tha PMC500 :wink:

Just kiddin.
You need to go to program mode on every pad, then scroll to the right until you can assign the pad to a midi note. Good luck

but my question is, i dont wanna deal with pads, i have more samples than pads, lets say we have 4 banks of 12 which is 48 samples, but i have more than 80 samples in the mpc500 and yes my controller has 88 keys, i wanna assign these samples to my 88 keys...

please anyone help...i am in the middle a project!!!

Since you have your samples in the mpc, u can only have 48 samples at a time.
I think your better of using a software like FL Studio with your midikeyboard if u really need all those 80 samples at a time...
BTW are u using all your samples in one project?

yeah, i have actually total of 120 samples in my MPC500 , i am using SONAR 6.0 and i am using the MPC500 as a sound module, so my midi controller is connected to MPC500, the keyboard controller can trigger only those samples that are assigned to the PADs of MPC500, which is a total of 48 samples only.
but i am trying to find a way to access all or at least 88 of them via my controller.

Check out your 500's multi timbral limitations.

Make more programs and "zap" between them. that's what i do. You can make up to 99 programs that's 99 * 48 = 4752 samples assigned at one time.

is there any way you could explain a bit more in details , coz i try to read the manual, but really don't understand it....
i am more of a roalnd and korg person, that's why i am not very familiar with this unit..
