broken cf-card or what ?

i've just got a package with a scsi-cardreader and hooked it up.
it worked fine and i tried to format a 128mb cf-card (the only one i had at home)

however, it worked fine to format it and i created 6 parts. (21mb each).
the problem came when i tried to save, the mpc says that the file is damage.
but it worked fine when saving on floppy.

should i get a new card of what am i doing wrong ?

What brand/model of SCSI CF reader ?

Which OS in your MPC3000 ?

it's a PCD-15B cardreader and the os is 3.11 (akai).

it worked fine until i was going to save some sounds...

I have 2 PCD-15B's, internal and external.

The external was purchased from http://WWW.SCSIFORSAMPLERS.COM and works great with the MPC3000 on any OS.

The internal was not purchased from http://WWW.SCSIFORSAMPLERS.COM , and...

I have the exact same symptoms when trying to use on it pre-Vailixi 3.50 OS's

I.E. Reads/Formats = OK , Does not Write.

Therefore, I set MULTI SECTOR DATA TRANSFER:Off when writing to CF Card.

it's no problem to save to floppy, it's the scsi that's the problem

where do i turn of multi sector ? (don't find it in the manual right now)

You should contact http://www.scsiforsamplers.com directly - great customer service.

Only the Vailixi 3.50 OS has the Multi Sector Data Transfer feature.

Unless your MPC3000 is upgraded with the www.mansell-labs.com "VAILIXI" upgrade then this option will not be available to you for adjustment.
