I purchased a 4000 earlier this year. I have little glitches where the thing will freeze while a cd is playing or it will freeze after it has started up. Should I get a new hard rive. What do you think will help me? I do not want to be working and then it completely freezes on me. :?:

Well, why don't you open it up and see what might be the problem. I mean, you're the one with the best seat in the house to see what's going on with it, rather than a bunch of us here playing this guessing game stuff.

I just thought I would ask since some of you have a lot of experience. That would have been of assistance to me before I go inside the beast. I myself don't want to mess up anything. I do know that if you don’t look, you will never find what looking for.

Thanks.

I didn't mean to sound so stark when I made that statement. But honestly, the symptom you gave wouldn't guarantee that there's one solution to curing that ill. And by opening it up, you just might find that there's a loose connection or something.

I mean, it's either you figure it out for free, or send it in somewhere and have someone else charge you an arm an a leg for something that you could have possibly taken care of yourself from jump.

Thanks Man, I just think I was a little scare to open her up. I have opened my other MPC's before but I will have to take that plunge. Thanks again. :)
