Mpc 500 with MPD.

If you use an MPD with an Mpc 500 for the better pad sensitivity/more pads, can you assign samples to all of the pads or only to 12 of them as you would on the 500.

It doesn't really matter i'm just curious.

Yes. Example: You can assign the 12 pads from the 500 to the first 12 pads on the mpd, then assign the 4 first pads from the 500 to the last 4 pads on the mpd and there you go

Would this just mean changing the values on the MPD pads to the same values as the 500's pads?

Would a 500 + MPD mean 28 different samples triggered by pad? Could the MPD be assigned bank B while the 500 is on Bank A?

Padkontrol has the best feel and sensitivity as far as drum controllers go, so i would recommend that instead. It's a world of difference. Plus, since the idea would be to be able to use "better pads" instead of the ones on the MPC, there would be no reason to get a MPD since they will be not that much different from the MPC pads.

Yes, that can be done. But you need to assign 4 of the mpd pads to the C bank of the 500.

That's awesome, I'm going to have to grab one of these. I hate when I have chops of a sample on two different banks and I have to find a good way to resequence them.
