Loosing pgm while editing

Hi guys lately i came across this problem, Im loosing my pgm on the mpc while editing sequences the loaded pads they just go off than i have to load the pgm again but it doesn t stay loading the wav files as i assume they would already be in memory .... a couple of months ago I took off my floppy and hooked up a cf card which makes life more easy than zipps could that be the reason anyone had this problem

it gets lost when you turn the wheel it did it a couple of times now. could be that its all coming from when i changed the os as to plug the cf card u need to update the mpc

yeah the problem is with the pgm but it started to happen when i loaded the new os im not really a technical person but i guess it could be a reason, if not there is something wrong in the hardware. thx for your feedback

Let me jump in as I might be having a similar problem.

For me, I have also had a few weird issues, after upgrading to 1.2 OS, never had problems prior. I upgraded so I could install my new CF reader.

Exact steps with most recent freeze:

1. loaded my PGM, then loaded my sequence.

2. Played sequence, then went to add an additional 8 bars, as soon as I turned the wheel to add bars, the screen went to this:



I could hop around through these weird screens, but had to reboot, as I could not get back to the normal interface.


ever seen this?

I had two other freezes last night, add while adding to my sequence, but the other two times it just locked up...

It is just a guess that this has something to do with the 1.2 upgrade, I know how software upgrades can cause as many problems as they fix sometimes though I really hope this is not the case here.

Unfortunately, I doubt there is any way to rollback to 1.1x if I needed to, is there?

any ideas? anyone think this could be bad RAM acting up?

yikes.... well at least I haven't had problems since.. maybe I just had it on for too long or need to do some cleaning.

Thats why Im never changing my OS. And I keep my Mp on for weeks at a time and never have problems.

Once I replace my LCD I might turn into one of "them". Well maybe not weeks but days.
