ok im still debating on if i should get the mpc2500 or the 1000 ok the reason why i want the mpc 2500 is because i heard i hook up my yamaha midi keyboard and play the sounds and actually hear the sound from it on the mpc without buying a mixer and because i heard that the mpc has alot more built in effects. is that true.
what kind of built in effects does the 1000 have compared to the 2500
even if i do get a mpc 1000 how much is a mixer, what does it look like and where could i get one?
i would like some advice

MR. SUPERPRODUCER:

Effects are the same. Mixers cost anywhere from 20 bucks used to over 5000 new. They look like boxes with knobs and what sound engineers refer to as "slidy things." Either way, you can plug your Yamaha keyboard into the 1000 or 2500 and hear the sounds from your keyboard. But don't get an mpc for that.

your name is "mrsuperproducer08" and your asking ?'s like this. first off, learn basic midi. then learn audio signal routing. then answer your own questions.

Inside each manual you can read about midi connection with other gear and you can read about what the record inputs can do.

Inside each manual you can find out effects info and what's actually in the machines themselves.

Different mixers can be found all over the internet, shop around and see which ones fit your production style.
