Seems you have to wait until December.

BASS and TREBLE looks nice but I wonder i you can set the frequency by yourself or if it's arbitrary.

The Zoom in Zoom out feature in grid edit looks dope ! (seems it will put an end to the awkward 1/32 in drum grid edit)

I wish i could only pay 1000 yen rather than 15 USD

mmm, nice improvements but we wil again have to pay...that sucks...i've been following the JJos since the free one (os 1).
i've even tried to help when i could...he made big promesses for os 1 and os 2(suposed to be free additions
(midi cc in, filter can't come back in os 2, actual celected parameters to q link) but nothin comes.
some of those comes on "os2xl" but'will have to pay to get our filters back.

those news sucks to me i feel like i'm gonna sell my mpc1000 pretty soon (and i've been promoting the jjos a lot to my friend and on the web).
come on jj make it free!

damn. i love JJ.

those are all SOLID features he's adding!

and he crammed even MORE stuff into the main screen.
yet it's still totally useable. great interface.

c'mon man... JJ gotta eat. $15 is NOTHING!

zoom in/out in grid edit!
CHORDS in INST mode!
FILTER 2 !!!
Q-LINK assign in MAIN screen!

i'm sold.

there is only 1 thing that worries me, tho. i don't see what happened to DEPTH and RELEASE in the FILTER page. those are essential so i hope he didn't pull them. it doesn't look like any other features have been pulled, so...

$15 for features that would require a hardware upgrade elsewhere? I'm in. I am just happy that JJ is still able to work on the MPC and didn't throw in the hat. It will be a sad realization when we find out nothing new is coming

Honestly, if anybody should be providing these updates for free it should be Akai, but we all know what happened there and what the new Akai/Numark is willing to provide for support of 'older' products.

this is why i asked recently about annoying defaults in jjos. not much response to that thread.

in os2xl, it appears that jj will make a change to the defaults of:

1 - general midi note layout. default will now be CHROMATIC note layout. for those few that use a general midi note layout, i recommend to save a blank PGM and place it in your autoload.

2 - RELEASE in CHOP screen - old default was 10. the new default will be 0.

SWEET. i'm very very interested in this "chord" business. grid edit looks appealing again, looks more like midi grid edit. i have for a long time been saying that MIDI GRID EDIT and GRID EDIT need to have more in common. i'm also very curious what TREBLE and BASS in qlink realtime will be like.

very nice to change qlink assignments from the main screen, too. all around this is very exciting.
