MPC5000 colour scheme

Sorry if this has already been discussed - I did a couple of searches and didn't find anything: -

Whilst shopping for my new MPC5K recently, I noticed that the product pics displayed on various websites had different colour schemes. There is a couple of different flavours (in terms of buttons, data wheel, slider knobs and cursor colour).

This one (same as the one I bought) has black data wheel, black rotary controls, black slider knobs and black cursor.




The other one has silver data wheel, grey rotary controls, grey slider knobs and grey cursor.




Just wondered if Akai are actually producing 2 different builds or is one just an old pre-release pic?

I was just curious.

the mpc shown below was the first pre release version, every mpc bought on the market will be like the one above..

Thanks for your reply - It wasn't until I started to research buying a 5K that I noticed this.
