MPC2000 classic Startup Problems...

Problems with MPC2000 when I power it on. It will go so far into the boot process and then the screen will "scramble" the data that is being displayed, then freeze. It just has weird little lines and blobs on the screen. I've taken it apart, checked all the ribbon cables, reseated all the IC's on board, cleaned all the connections, but no success... Any ideas what else it could be? I'm leaning toward the boot rom, as I have already removed all option boards and changed the simms in the unit. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. And if anyone knows where I can get parts that'd be a great help too!

Sounds like the boot disk you have is shot......Try downloading a new one from
www.akaipro.com
