look at the newbie post in freq answred quests. There is a section on Low end theory. Its about making basslines and notes out of any sample by filtering

thx,but im not understandin how to really do that....and im lookin more for sounds to make bass lines...not jus takin a samp n filtering it.

Alot of the time taking a sample of a single hit and filtering it/eq'ing it is how basslines are made...

dog i aint **** wit you im being serouis ghetto style, u alredy got a mpc right? hit any cheap keyboard like my ****** casio mt 260 tone bank, sample it into the mpc and filter it, then hit the 16 levels, boom, bass line, hard as **** tooo. fo real dont front on the tone bank cause if you got an mpc thats all u need, tones...

I have the MicroKorg. It has some good bass sounds if you prefer the keys. Watch out tho, the board is made for smurfs.

hey koolsha,how do i filter it...i looked in the manual at the 16 levels shiite.do i filter it there?or some other way?

shift +6 will go to the assign screen.
f2 i belive will go to the params screen.

on your left you will see the envelope feature where you can set your attack and decay settings. on the right, you will se the freq and res filters.

go anywhere from 0-20 on the freq filter
anywhere from 0-8 on the res filter.

no exact settings, use your ear. bam you just got yourself a bass note.
