Im hopefully finally goign to enter the world of the mpcs with the 1k within a week, but i have a question. i dotn knwo if any of you have ever been to onstopbeats.com but when you order a smaple set in cd format, it gives you plenty of formats, one format is mpc 1000 one of the others is wave. i want to use teh soudns with some of my softare, but can i. does the mpc 1k read the wave files, or how do i convert the files to the right format, i have reload, and wave converter, will those work.

and also is onestopbeats.com a good site for samples or do they suck they look pretty good and thsoe hot digs cds wont be as fun as digging for vinyl but look tasty.

The 1000 defintly uses waves or .wav files if thats what your talking about. Wave is a standard file type of audio for any Windows OS. So whatever type of audio software your running on Windows, Im positive you can use wave files as well along with your mpc1k when you get it.

You really should check out akaipro.com before you buy. Yes, the 1000 does read wav files. Matter of fact, that's what it's best used for. You can take the WAVS from your sample CDs or hard drive and put them in the 1k through usb. Make sure the wavs are 16 BIT tho, NOT 24 BIT.
