Basic MPC Production Set-Up

So I'm getting an MPC 2000XL & MicroKorg in a few months. I was given an ASR-10 and a Alesis Mixer, and already own 2 x Technics Turntables.

I have a desktop Mac. What other pieces do I need to complete a working setup? I was told a Motu or something similar and obviously speakers/monitors. And how would they all connect? Would everything be connected to the mixer, then the mixer to the Motu, then Motu to Mac?

Please help, thanks. Perhaps a very novice question, but I'd appreciate serious replies.

all the equipment you speak of comes with users manuals that cover every aspect
of the equipment .. if you are curious as to how they all work together, download the manuals and read it BEFORE you purchase the equipment ... a little research goes a long way.
