then why do people buy mpcs if theyre just a waste of money??
do they just cost alot cuz they have programs in them which you can download for free of the net??can i just get the software thats on the mpc into my computer
and hook it up with the mpk ant pretend its a mpc??

Really, u can buy/obtain "mpc" software that's loaded IN the machine online somewhere, prove it.

You could also read the user manual of for example the mpc 500/1000 and the mpk and see the difference between the 2 machines. Right now it seems like your assuming and half guessing a lot without really knowing what you're talking about. The more you know about both machines the better you can decide which machine fits your needs.
The price difference between an mpc and an MPK lies in the fact that an mpk requires a power full computer equipped with production software an MPC doesn't. Last time I checked computers nor software grow on trees they also cost money lots of money.

You have to do some leg work in order to save money.

exactly what have i missed here...mpc is the machine which makes beats/mpk does same with keys and pads is 1/2 the price but doesnt have the software s0 i hook up teh mpk to my computer and the computer is the software part of my setup.what did i miss?
