please help me

hi just switched to the os 3'8 version. i have a problem when i'm trying to make a beat and i record the sample sequence i want to record the drums. the problem is when i hit the drum pad the sample stops to play or when i record the drums first when i hit the pad with the sample the drums stop i have been trying to swith from mono to poly and so on but it does not work.it has to be simple as **** but i dont how to do it please help i'm so dumb

Read the akai manual, it applies to the jj os as well.

yeah but when i switch the program to poly the samples overlap one another and it doesnt sound good you know

the drums is ok then caus i can record them over the sample but still the samples overlap each other

There are different ways to achieve this.

-Mute groups
-different programs
-samples set to note on instead of one shot

They are all in the manual.

No offense but this question is the one asked every week here and reading the manual will really help you getting the most out of your mpc.

set program to POLY,
set ur samples to MONO or POLY depending on what you need to do.
If you are using POLY on samples and they are overlapping use the MUTE groups which should fix your problem as the sample will be cut off when the corresponding pad in the mute group is triggered.

put your drums on a seperate pgm. then you can set them independent of each other

you need to stop drinking that purpledrank...I think that's where you need to start
