Has anyone else run into a problem here?

I'm in the habit of using song mode (convert to song) as a quick way to repeat/lengthen a sequence. It seems like this doesn't apply well to audio tracks. What I did was record 1 bar of beatboxing onto an audio track. It looped nicely, and honestly I'm just in love with the audio track feature! So I wanted to make a 4 bar sequence with this one bar audio track looping 4 times. It didn't work through convert to song-- It only triggers the audio loop 1 time.

Then I went ahead and lengthened the original 1 bar sequence to 4, and made 3 copies of the audio track through sequence edit. Still no dice. I'm very dissapointed, really because everything else in this OS seemed so flawless to me.

Would someone try this in the OS2 OS? I'm also interested to know how the MPC2500 stock OS handles repeating audio tracks.

I hate to bump my own thread... but I can't believe that nobody else cares about this! The issue is also present in OS2, btw.

It seems like it would be an easy fix to implement...

I'm not sure it should even be an option.... For the Audio Tracks to be smoothly integrated into the OS, they should definitely copy/repeat when a sequence is copied or repeated.

It's not like the actual audio data has to be copied. The midi event that triggers the beginning of the audio event is the only thing that has to be copied over!
