MPC 2500 Synchronization

Hey guys I have my 2500 synched up to my DAW. I just barely noticed today after a month that the synchronization is off my maybe a hundredth of a second.

When I start recording instead of the sound starting at 0 time, the sound kicks in at maybe a hundredth of a second???

What can I do to fix this?

This messes me up when I want to cut my 8 bar sequence into maybe a 4 bar sequence because it ends up having a hundredth of a second of sound form the part I wanted chopped out. It sounds like it wouldnt make a difference but you can hear that sh1t.

Oh my bad... Its actually a 10th of a second.

Well at this point the only thing I can do is cut out the 10th of a second from each track. Which would only take about a few seconds to do on Cubase but that sh1t is wack. I just want to know if Im doing something wrong.

try using a blank bar at the beginning to allow the mpc and the daw to sync properly.
set your daw tempo to the exact tempo of your mpc.
if you use t.c. with swing than this might shift your notes back or forth a bit so they are not on the grid anymore.

i believe there is a setting in cubase for that delay - search for delay compensation...

Thanks for the info. I will search for the Delay thing you told me about. If I dont find it then I will just stick to cutting out the first 10th of a second of each track once I track it. Doesnt take long anyways...
Takes me about 20 seconds to record all my tracks in one sequence then another 10 seconds to cut out what I dont want.

I use 4 bars blank. Most hardware devices synching recommend 10 seconds of "chase time" as it's known.
