hi i got a question about the bassline. is there any better way of doing a bassline than choppin a bass sample and putting it on the pads changin the pitch??is there something like the "boobas" on the fl studio??i think prolly there is somethin like that but i dont know it please help me. thanx

you could create an INST program from a sample/s from fruitys boobass and play that back from the pads or a midi keyboard. but outta the box theres nothing like that, you gotta bring your own booze to the party.

Sample some notes from a VSTi or Reason or some other software program and turn it into an INST program on your mpc! Or if you don't have OS2 you can always just export some recorded notes from Reason or your Daw and chop them on your mpc. You can always fine tune your sampled notes to match exactly with your other samples/keys/synths/etc

It's a much cheaper option at first, and you can always buy a synth later on if you really need it and have some spare cash...

good luck

yo! It's not that I want that bass from the fl studio. I always tought there is a some program thanks to which you can play the bass live just like on a synthesizer or a midi keyboard. I just mentioned the "boobas" from the fl studio as a comparison. and I thought you can have very nice bass out of the mpc, a better one than from a computer... But if it's not possible i would have to look for a synthesizer or a midi keyboard. By the way is there a big difference between a midi keyboard and a synthesizer??and which one is better for recording a live bass??? Peace

without trying to sound like a cnut, you need to do abit of research on what midi is. check the tweakheadz site, knowledge.

the mpc is great for bass, just load up a **** sample and get into it.
