MPC sync with Cubase?

I am have problems getting cubase and the MPC 1000 to talk with each other. I have been using Cubase and my Triton for 3 yrs and have had no problems at all but now I am trying to midi up the MPC and it will not work any suggestions?

Yeah:
- cable it up correctly
- choose the right MIDI Port in the MPC and/or Cubase for the cables you've hooked up.
- set the correct MIDI channels for the track(s) you're working on.
- if you want one device to slave Clock to the other: choose one (and only one) Master, make the other devices Slave (sync to Clock In) to that.

in short: ask a generic question, get a generic answer.
