You have offended my 5K family and the Shaolin Temple - Prepare for Death!!!

I didn't ask for your generosity...nor do I need it. Remember that you made your music public as well. If that is the only thing you can do with the 4K...I know I made the right choice in picking up the 5K. Sounds like you should be doing the same. To be frank...you are in no position to motivate me. Not from a music or knowledge stand point....my friend. There ate people that write about how much they dislike me..but I don't here a peep from them when I give them a taste of my music. But as I wrote before, this is for my own personal enjoyment. I don't really care what you think. So stop the hating and get yourself an MPC 5000.

Ah, come on dude, is that how you treat your elders around here? I'm not hating, I'm really having a ball with this childish debate we got going on here. You see, I don't fall for the eye candy sh!t out here. My abilities require expert tools to accomplish what's in my head. All of the tools I have as of now, are enough for me to get these ideas to disk. Now if the 5k had come out during the time I was looking for an mpc, then chances are I'd be like one of you, thinking that this is all I need.

But...this didn't happen. I personally find it a waste of resources to put another $2100.00 into something I just don't find or have a need for. For one, the user interface ain't flip'n the script for me. Two, there's a bunch of issues still associated with this thing.

Like I said before, I'm not knocking the collectors that get off on keeping current with technology, but I can imagine how some will act if they invented the worlds first musical turd.

Wouldn't that be something?

How much extra RAM can you expand into that musical turd - I'm gonna need one of those on my next platinum album!

I am about to retire a US military Vet and you are asking me to pay respect to forum elders?

I am not alone in what I do. Producers, engineers, and musicians get excited about Namm, Messa, AES, etc to see what these companies will release next to advance their music. There are some good things that are released..as well as some bad ones. We have a difference of opinion because I own/use an MPC 5K and beleive it is simply the best (for my needs).

You have to stop the hating and name calling. You are calling me a sellout? When the MPC 2500 was released, I wrote numerous threads about what I wanted in an MPC. You can go back and look if you like. The MPC 2500 w/ JJ OS is very close to those feature request threads. The MPC 5000 is that machine. Even without a major OS update, I am loving the 5K..but that update is coming. I will let the other MPC 5000 users to be the first to say "I told you so" when the OS is released.

So....the MPC 5K doesn't meet your present needs. Good for you. I am not trying to sell you one nor did I instigate a debate. MPC 5000 users know what it has to offer. We don't hide any issues we find with it (see the bug threads). Why is there no sticky for MPC 4000 OS bugs? Because everyone would spend all their time in that thread and nowhere else....

Probably more than a let's say 4000 after ten years!

To be honest, it's really funny to read how you fellas rant about the others machine and what. Kinda reminds me of my childhood when friends and me were arguing which WWF wrestler was the best "No the Undertaker sucks big time, Bret Hitman Hart kicks everyone's asses!"

Dab, let us love our 5ks, we let you love your 4k. It's all different machines. Which one is better or what the heck I don't know. I only know I like mine. But I also love my Korg EMX-1, Yamaha TX 802, Akai DPS 16..........

I'll post up a complete tutorial of fully stripping the 5K during this weekend, which I'm sure you'll all find interesting and helpful to read; before you decide to crack your 5K open.

No I've not forgotten, just not been able to get all of the pics uploaded etc. coming soon though!

First and foremost... Nice work NorthernElite on this thread and the other one with the pics you posted, good look

To The Haterz:
How did a good thread from the jump go wrong? Thats why i dont really even come on no more... get tired of cats talkin noise about making beats on a 5000(first of all, you dont need $hit to make a hot ass beat but a Mic, DAW, and your mind....). If you can make a hot beat, you can make one PERIOD. No if ands or butts. A lot of cats that come in here talkin like they got fire a$$ production on the links, if you gone brag, back that $hit up with your link. If you doing it for the luv of music, thats a different story.

You state your opinion about something that you dislike, but instead of you leaving to go about your business, you instead stick around and continue to throw salt on the situation for others that may or may not enjoy the machine.

But please chill wit that hatin, its not necessary. Its cool to have an opinion but when you start hatin, thats different.

IF YOU ARE FEELING GUILTY ABOUT THIS STATEMENT, ITS DIRECTED TOWARDS YOU

Thanks - for your complement regarding my posts - I appreciate that.

I agree with ur comments about the Hatin'

I was a bit dissappointed that a thread which I started for the purposes of offering helpful information for fellow 5K owners (and anyone else who is interested) - descended into a tribal battle of the MPCs.

I'll always just try and turn that stuff into humour, but I agree with 4dahaterz - it just wears everyone down.

The reason I support and defend the MPC5000 is it's the best MPC currently available IMHO!

That's pretty much why I posted this in the MPC5000 threads, for other 5K owners (and those interested in buying one) - the 4K doesn't really interest me.

I get really tired listening to katz complaining about bugs on the 5K and then when you ask them to back it up and be specific - they suddenly lose the ability to type.

Most of the dudes making all the noise about the 5K don't even own one - what is that 'gear envy?'

and yeah, I'm in this for the love of music...use whatever gear you want, but let me and the others here enjoy our 5Ks

Peace - Elite
