I JUST GOT BOTH THE MPC 3000 AND THE 1000 IN A PACKAGE DEAL. IM NOT SURE WHETHER I SHOULD HANG ON TO BOTH OF THEM, OR GET RID OF ONE OF THEM. I HAVE WORKED WITH BOTH, BUT IM REALLY NOT THE SAMPLING TYPE. I LIKE TO CREATE THINGS FROM SCRATCH. SINCE IVE GOT THE MPC'S THE ONLY THING I DO WITH THEM IS SAMPLE MY OWN BEATS, CHOP EM, AND SEQUENCE THEM, THIS IS WHAT THIS PIECE OF GEAR SEEMS TO DO THE BEST. IS THERE ANYONE WHO CAN HELP ME DECIDE WHICH ONE I SHOULD KEEP AND WHY?

Honestly if you've got both at your disposal, I say take a month or two to just mess with both and figure out which one you vibe with the most. And at least put the free JJ os on the 1000 B4 you get started. I've found most MPC's to be really User Friendly, the real difference between the two depends on you.

Ive got a 60 and a 1000, the 60 has the 3.1 OS which makes it operate like the 3000 (minus the 16 bit and sampling time).
With the JJOS the 1000 is way more user friendly.. chopping on it is unbeatable. I find the 60 more suitable for sampling stuff that I dont want to flip too much. Its satisfying to use it ..but a lot more time consuming if you like to chop into fragments.

this should probably be in the mpc comparisons forum too.

YEAH I JUST MIGHT DO THAT. I FIND THE 1000 BETTER TO WORK WITH BUT, THE 3000 HAS EVERYTHING LAIDED OUT FOR YOU. EACH MENU IS SEPARATED BY A SINGLE BUTTON WHICH ALLOWS YOU TO ACCESS THINGS IN AN UNDERSTANDABLE MANNER.
THE 1000 HAS ALOT OF SUB-MENUS BUT BOTH ARE GREAT!
