Hi folks,

I've been searching this forum and haven't found a definitive answer on this yet, so I thought I'd post this question myself.

I'm a guitar/bass player in a band with no drummer, using the MPC to play beats via sequences. Normally I program 1 sequence with many tracks and then use the Mute Track screen to add/remove parts, during our songs. I prefer this method to programming a full song with many sequences because it allow us to improvise a bit. The problem of course is that it requires me to stop playing my instrument. Is anyone using a MIDI foot pedal or controller to mute tracks during sequence playback?

Cheers.

Thanks for the reply. I think I'm going to get the Behringer FCB 1010 tonight and try and work it out. I like track mute for the instant response- hit the pad and add a snare, immediately instead of waiting for like a 4 bar sequence to finish! This seems like such a basic feature, it's hard to believe it doesn't exist.

if you set next sequence to "immediately play" it'll switch right across and should have the effect your after. ("immediately start" it will start the seq from beat 1- but "immediately play" will start the seq from the next midi tick i.e. it wont be off beat.)
