I want to assign a sample to my whole keyboard not only to jsut one pad. I want like 61 keys playing the same sound but on different note. Can you be more specific please. I did assign sample to every pad and adjusted the pitch. The sample works great on the pads but when I go to my keyboard the sample is only loaded on a few keys.

There is a function to automaticly give each pad the same sample with a differnt pitch. It's is really easy but I cannot tell you because I have not use my 1000 since a long time. I have to sit behind it to tell you.
Hopefully I'm not mixed up with my MPC2KXL

what your trying to do is called 16levels. and its only on the mpc. not on bluebox. if you want to you can make an instrument program in os2 and it will play on all 61keys as an inst.

when you load a sample, you are given 3 options:
use pad note
use sample note
assign sample to cover range of notes
you want the third one. i dont know how to use it, every time i load a sample in bluebox, the 2nd and 3rd options are greyed out
from the bluebox manual:
so i dont know how to "store" a midi note in the sample.
use pad note
use sample note
assign sample to cover range of notes
you want the third one. i dont know how to use it, every time i load a sample in bluebox, the 2nd and 3rd options are greyed out
from the bluebox manual:
If a single sample file was loaded, the next dialog will allow you to either assign the sample to the current pad using either the MIDI note stored in the sample file or the note currently assigned to the selected pad, or stretch the sample across a range of pads. If no MIDI note is stored in the sample file, then the Use sample note option is not enabled. When a range is selected, both the MIDI trigger note and tune values of pads in the selected range are automatically adjusted, facilitating creation of multisample programs.
so i dont know how to "store" a midi note in the sample.
