mpc 2000 ,mac help

mpc 2000 ,mac help

treyn to sync my mpc 2000 to my mac lap top via a midi fire wire cable,im pretty lost can any one help plz

mpc2k doesn't have firewire.

You'll need a capable audio program in order to sync won't you.

Your not giving up enough info and details, we aren't mind readers.

Does the firewire cable have two midi connectors at one end and a firewire connector on the other? Or is it an audio/ midi interface that you have.

If so, install the software/ drivers that came with it first. Connect the firewire end of the cable to your Mac and the two midi connectors to your MPC in the correct fashion (midi in/ midi out). Check to ensure that midi transmission is functioning properly.
