Hey, I searched around for something about this, but didn't find anything. I'm using the 2kxl with a reversed crash, and I want to be able to line it up so it fades in and ends on the beat. Is there any way to do this on the MPC without lots of trial and error?

Thanks!

Thanks for your input. The best way that I've come up with to do it is to figure out about how long the sample is in beats, then time stretch it slightly to match the tempo of the song and place it one beat before its end point. That seams excessive though. If anyone else has a suggestion, let me know.

you can mute it with another sound but that would make the sound end abruptly or you can make it fade in and fade out by adjusting the attack and decay by messing around with the envelope in programs

you can also put the volume up and down manually in the mixer window while you are recording that specific sound live. but i dont know how long the sound is so it might be hard to do that.

theres other ways as well i think
