If i had a mpc 4000 can i use it without ever using multis? samples and programs is all i would need.
unless they tie to saving beats that consist of fx and filter settings.

thanks in advanced.

You would just work out of the same multi. Meaning all of your programs and any changes made to them would be tied to that multi. You would never have to even open the multi page and all of your programs, sounds, and parameter changes would save to that multi by default.

Perfect example. This is what i mean, one person asks a questions, everbody answers, few people know what there talking about, some even misspell hierarchy (lol) and like one or two people are dead on target. The reason people asks questions is cause they figure you've been around this corner before so you should know the lay of the land. I just had some very special people tell me on another thread that you should find your own information and figure it out on your own. Sure.... we could do that but if no one told these guys fathers where to put it well ........ you know the rest. Sharing good information helps and saves time.

yes but by teaching yourself youll learn new stuff .. for free!

The other dude is incorrect cause you can't use the mpc4000 without multi's. You need to go in the multi page every time you have loaded/created a new program to assign the program to the correct part. You need to assign it because otherwise you can't use it.

um yo shit must must be broke or maybe you dont know what the **** you are doing. I assign only a number to the corresponding progam so that If I go to track 2 and want program 4 All I have to do is toggle to 4 in the program number field on the main screen. I never have to go into the multi page at all. maybe you need to take your own advice and go teach your self....... or **** ya self. either way dont EVER talk down on my shit

This thread is going nowhere. Find out about all about Multi's in the manual if you still don't get it.
