Need help with a problem

This is pissing me off!

I made a beat and tried to save it. I went into save entire memory and the thing froze on me for a minute then when I tried to create a new folder, every single name I used it came up File already exists.

It kept giving me this warning and no way to do anything about it. I tried to be creative to fool it but every name I tried it said file already exists.

So I had to just save it outside of a folder on my HDD which probably messed it up.

Does anyone know why it is doing this?

I'm using JJ OS1 4.98

No one has a clue what happened?

have you checked the bug list for the older jjos. you should update to the latest jjos4.99i. i havent had these problems but it just sounds like you hit a bug.

sounds like you didn't format your HD after installing jjos per instructions

It came like this.

I gotta find the password and everything in order to update.

I gotta get to the person who sold it to me to get it because for some reason i lost it. But I know he has it.

I am waiting on word back from the person now.

I just uploaded the project file from the directory and everything seems to be in tact with the beat I made.

So if I get 4.99 will I have to format the HDD and will that erase what i have on there altogether?

I'm not trying to lose my beats or will I have to pull all my sounds off the machine and reinstall them?

That's something I've been thinking about doing, just been lazy about it.

just usb it to a computer and pull everything off while you reformat, you wont lose anything and you can reorganize the folder while you're at it.
throw back on when you're done, its pretty easy and fast.
its a good idea to backup your HD onto computer every once in awhile in case the HD fails.

you're using a paid version so the password has already been put in.

have you tried ?

Haven't tried it yet.

Was saving that for tomorrow, I gotta make programs while I'm doing all of this so I'm gonna take tomorrow to do it all at one time.

No one has said how to reformat the HDD yet.
