MPC2500 Discontinued?

Just looking at the manual, I would say the sequencer feautres alone is reason to get JJ ASAP. *drool*

Biggest thing in my opinion is the workflow. JJOS makes your life easier. In my opinion I feel like the sequencer, sampling, better Q-Link features, ADSR, Chop Shop features and if you get JJOS2 you get Non Destructive Chop; these are the biggest reasons to get the JJOS in my opinion.

yeah.. havin the "sample start" and "sample end" on the qlinks is pretty sweet. ... also, man, the chopping features allow you to chop up a long sample 100x faster than the clunky akai system. in the chop screen it also has "divide" and "combine" are right on the chop screen so you don't have to go to edit menu every time. things like this litter the jjos.basically, it just spruces up the akai os and adds constant improvements and user feature requests.

Also if your looking for the work flow improvements, check out the "global program edit" on the jj.
That shiit saves mad time creating programs..... search for Nym's "lightning assign method"...

then throw jj some loot, dude deserves to get rich for his euntrapranuership...

I have never seen a device with a better workflow than an MPC. That's the last thing that would make me wish for another OS, honestly.

why be stubborn and not improve it even more?

Does'nt all the 2500's do this RIGHT OUT THE BOX, Mine Does. V=1.23

it's like this, if you wonder on to the jj site, you'll find a nice manual for each os. in them, it shows everything the jjos does, which basically the akai os doesn't do.
