it doesnt change the hardware specs of the machine but it does give you a meter to track your usage.

jjos or akai os, it's still 32 voices. this also depends on processing. i'm not absolutely sure, but i'm willing to bet that polyphony goes down when you add the MPC's internal effects into the chain.
