Whatsup with this? I get it frequently on my mpc. When i dump a folder with a large amount of drums into my mpc through USB i get this error alot on the mpc when i try to load up the sounds. And when i try to play them in the preview screen they make no noise.

Does anyone else get this? How the hell am i suppose to get all these drums onto my mpc??

some of the files might not be in the right file format.

theres a shit load of waves formats that wont read in the MPC, Windows PCM is best bet, try converting your samples to that codec.

and that is exactly what i was talking about. my rendering program has 5 different types of .wav. and some of them dont work in the mpc.

No problem.

There are tons of freeware audio editing/converting software out there. Maybe Audacity does the job, if not you have to google a bit.

Yeah i know. im just trying to figure out how i know for sure what kindof file this is to see if it needs converting in the first place. and if it is the wrong one, what does it have to be converted to?

Best would be to use a batch converter to convert all files at once. I don´t know what to use on a mac, maybe ask again in the studio environment or production forum (or just search a bit).
All audio editors (i know of) give you an information readout btw., even my mediaplayer (foobar) gives me that.
