We're aware of the open issues, that's why we've got a bug thread for the 5K.

It's just that the way you were talking we all expected you to offer some spiritual enlightenment, but as it turned out your final response was...

Here's an idea for your future posts "HAVE A POINT!" it'll make it so much more interesting for the other forum members.

We could all hop over to the 4K threads and join in your little "I hate the 5K" or "I love my 4K" threads, but you know what.....

Yeah I'm tired of your BS

I will be selling $100K tracks in no time.

If tracks made with the 5000 get sold for $100k, can I sell my beats that I made with my 1000 for $20k? wokka wokka
i'd be cool with that

In what way does the 5000 sound "better" or different than other mpc's? Just curious...

1. You get out what you put in. Garbage in, Garbage out.

2. All MPC's sound the same with the exception of the 60 and the 3000 because both have lower sample rates.

Agreed.

Also, the 5K effects are pretty good though - I'm thinking the compressor in particular makes things hot!

I wonder if that's what made the 5k sound "better" than other mpc's to the OP?

It's hard to accurately compare it against another MPC unless you set up exact side-by-side tests with another unit using the same samples etc. - but I CAN tell you that the 5K sounds "FANTASTIC" to me - that I can 'definately' say.

The 3000 is also 16 bit 44.1k... the same as the 5k, just 20 years earlier.
