zip drive with the 3000

I have an iomega zip 100 drive and I will hook it up to my mpc3000 and turn it on, then when I turn my mpc3000 on it will search for the scsi hard disk ( I have the search delay set to 1 min ) but it never finds it. Then when I try to format the hard disk it says that it isn't connected properly.
What to do, what to do?

you have the termination switched on?

you have a zip disk in there? and you turned on the mpc 10 secs or so after you turned the zipdrive on?

if nothing works, you should call rogerlinn.com's office. I had the same problem with my mpc60, but while I was on the phone with them, it magically recognized the zipdrive and started to work!

Do you have the proper "SCSI" channel selected for the Zip?
(I mention SCSI because you didn't specify if it was SCSI Zip drive.)

I usually check the manual for things like this, which I think says something about formatting a disk before using it.
