Classic hip-hop vinyl prices...

i want to buy some classic vinyls like Long live the kane and paid in full and criminal minded, just wondering if anyone would know the prices nowadays on these... would it be cheap like $10 or over $50, $100??? clueless...

You can easily find reissues of these albums for $10 -$20.
The original LP's are gonna cost you especially if they are in mint condition- $50 and up.

I got Criminal Minded on a re-issue. I paid $20 or so for it. I got it at Reckless Records.

A lot of stuff that used to cost a lot is showing up for pennies at used shops. People got Serato and the value has diminished. This is especially true of 12"s . . .

ebay prices are so low on alot of records that sold for double a year ago because the economy is so f**ked,, and check, yard sales, flea mkt's, etc you never know what you will score,, and if you dont mind reissue joints,, records like paid in full are like 10-15$$, for DJaying out its worth it you dont run the risk of wrecking your classics.

I know this second hand record store, owned by an old white jazz freak. He hates hiphop but sells it just for the money. Doesn't know the value, and he doesn't want to know. He rather sells them today for a low price then selling them tomorrow for the regular price.

You guys should have seen some of the finds I made weeks ago at this flea market. It looked like the guy bought a radio station's vinyl, presumably after they went digital. He was charging book value on your run of the mill rock records, but pennies for pretty much anything else.

When it came to Hip-Hop I was grabbing 12"s for $1 and entire LPs for $2-3.

When I raided his 45s he went by the book on each one for whatever reason . . . maybe because he figured out I wasn't your average joe. I cleaned that spot out each week for about a month. It was a place in the middle of nowhere I only entered expecting to find old video games or other electronics.

unless it was a CLASSIC back in the days or made or had mass hits it rerally aint worth much,

it pretty much had to be something found in the freddy fresh books and stuff on a rare label(indie).

shlt i found a Ronnie G-Raptivity for 99 cent afew yrs back got lucky i guess, it sold more then that when it came out.
