Does anyone have experience with both the 4000 AND the 5000?

Just curious, if there is anyone out there fortunate enough to mess with both machines, what are your impressions?

I noticed Askia Shaheed said that the sequencer timing is much "tighter" on the 5000. But both machines run @ 960ppqn. I understand they were made almost a decade apart, but is the sequencer really "tighter" on the 5000?

Yes, the sequencer's both run at 960ppqns...but I found the 5Ks sequencer tighter. That is my opinion. But don't take it as the gospel. Feel free to try them both and come up with your own conclusion...like me.

if both run at the same resolution. how can one be tighter than the other?

Well, if there's alot going on on the 4000 it can lack a bit, i dunno if the 5000 does this. By the way: The 4000 and a microkorg together BLOWS AWAY the 5000!!!
