The microKORG Thread

i dont see whts so confusing about the mk. when i had it i didnt kno anybody that had it and i breezed thru it wit no probs. i wouldnt mind havin another one.

I know this is the MPC forums. Man, why are there always haters?? I wanted to start a thread dedicated to the microkorg +MPC combo. Like I said before.... Too may threads with mk questions, why not amalgamate them into one? Oh. and Thanks for your responses to everyone who was into it.

I was getting tired of the mk's sound and was using it as a midi controller for my s900/DAW when I found the soundeditor program. I started using it to bring some life back into a piece of equipment that was starting to feel corny and boring to me. I think the microkorg is dope, but as I mentioned, the sounds all start to sound similar after playing with it for any length of time.

i never used the sound editor but the mk is dope. the bass is nasty. i want it for that alone. tru the sounds get old. thats why i got rid of mine.

for the non multi timbre prob the piggyback cable is what everyone should get (i cant tell u how many times ive posted this under microkorg threads). it'll be easier to sample with. the microkorg is dope. u just have to really dig into it and make it work for u.

Don't use presets. Use your own synthesized creations. You can create new patches without the software editor.

tempo for what? arp, delay time, midi-sequence?

must be a reason why peeps like neptunes, black milk, madlib & dilla use the microkorg so its just in how u use the keyboard.
