mpc wont show up when I connect usb

sup peeps im tryin to cop the jjos so i can see what its all about but when i connect the usb to the comp nothing shows i had a Ibook g4 laptop and when i connected it to the mpc it showed up can someone help me out i dunno if it's because the usb is 2.0 or what..... Thanks

Sometimes you can have problems using something on a PC and then using it on a MAC & vice versa.

yeh its pretty weired considering its a fairly new computer, however i did happen to find a smart media/xd slot and when i put the sound library card in the mpc2500disk h: drive shows up

And what do you have now?

Have you tried the Mount button in the USB mode page on the MPC? Do you have either a CF card in the slot or an HD installed?

your totally right stilo i dont have a hard drive i also forgot to try to mount to see what happens im learning lil by lil
