yo bomb beats, you got a sick ass studio. Much respect for using the 3000 and the 4000.

You could always have yourself cryogenically frozen for a few years until that LDII is released.

Good luck.

They have been working on it for about 2 years now. They show it off @ conventions and do updates on the progress @ rogerlinndesign.com. I can't imagine these two dudes saying "**** it". It will come out, for sure.

Thanks. I'm looking to get a 60II. I've told that having the short sample time forces one to be more creative. I still want one anyway, especially the 12bit sampling.

I'm certain it will come out and I'd like to get a look at it - but it just seems to be taking a long time - it there any estimated release date? Not really been following it lately.

The majority of legacy MPC users have machines that are far less capable than the MPC 5K. You made numerous posts indicating that the 5K is not the flagship pointing to the superior specs of the 4K. I respect that. In spite of this, the tone of your recent posts indicate you are not happy with your 4K. How come? It doesn't do everything you need it to?
Regardless they are still MPCs. The sequence & sample. Minus a synth a synth, what more do you expect it to do. I just don't need the 5000.

What more do I expect it to do? Or what dabmeister expects it to do?

Yes, they are all MPCs. When I made purchases over the years, I look at what each MPC had to offer. The MPC 5000 offers more things I want in an MPC than the others. You don't need the 5000? Based upon your responses..it seems you do. Why else would you spend so much time talking about the MPC 5K? Some of that energy can be devoted to helping people frustrated with the 4K. This is just my observation. Of course you are welcome to hang out with us and continue discussing the MPC 5K....it's all gravy.

Your are starting to sound like you are some 5000 authority, like this is your forum. I'm an MPC owner & user. Don't try to act like I don't belong here. I'm sorry if the truth hurts you so bad. I tried to learn from someone who uses the thing. You try to act like it's already perfect. Eveyone has an opinion, deal with it.

I wouldn't use the word authority...but I have owned every high-end MPC released since 1997 (MPC 2000, 2000XL, 3000 LE, 4000, 2500, and now the 5000). Like you, I am also a forum member. The only difference is that I use a different machine than you and I am here talking about something I actually own and use. I hope that doesn't offend you but its the truth. I can't recall ever saying that the MPC 5000 was perfect. If it was, we wouldn't have a bug report thread or a feature request thread. Please take some time out of your busy schedule and view those threads and read my comments.

The bottom line is that everyone here knows by now that you don't like the MPC 5000. In how many ways will you continue to write that you don't like the machine? Trust me...we get it. As an actual MPC 5000 user, I am happy with my purchase. Your opinions will not change that. Why do you see the MPC 5K as a threat to what you do? Why do you spend more time talking about the 5K than you do the 4K?

OJahromeAskia, you're so full of shit, especially when it was you that use to do this very same thing to the 4k owners after you couldn't figure out how to use yours and purchased a 2500. You're just as much full of shit like alot of the retards here. Tryin to come off like you're Blue Haze or something..at least Blue Haze knew what he was talking about 9 times out of ten..Most people on all sides of mpc-forums know first hand how full of shit you are..let the man speak his piece..lord knows it never stopped you..

Have a bean pie my brother....There is no reason for this animosity. There is certainly no reason to insult anyone in the forum. Re-reading my own post in this thread, I can't see where I stated/implied that everyone can't speak their mind. I simply asked a few questions that can be answered or ignored. The last time I checked, this is a forum where people can have open dialog. During this dialog, if I misrepresent some information, please feel free to correct me. Agree or disagree, people should be able to comunicate in an intelligent manner.

FYI, I purchased the MPC 4000 in 2002 like other MPC 3000 users. But after 2-3 months, I went back to the MPC 3000. There are numerous reasons why I did this. But among those reasons..the MPC 4000s OS wasn't mature. Why would I stay with a $3500 machine that kept crashing? After numerous OS updates, its a much better machine today. The MPC 2500 was released 3 years after the MPC 4000. I jumped on this immediately. The MPC 2500 is the true MPC 3500. It gave me everything I liked about the MPC 2000XL and 3000 in one package and many more features.

Fastforward to 2008, we now have the MPC 5000, which replaced my 2500. The 5K's OS is still being refined. However, its a much better OS than what I had with the MPC 4000 when it was released. After a few more OS updates, I even think many of you naysayers will be impressed.....whether you make this public is a different story.

One more thing guys...we are talking about drum machines here. Stop getting worked up...try not to let your emotions get the best of you. Let that marinate with you for a minute.

Peace.

Was this really needed ??

If you don t have anything clever to say just avoid such posts next time, it s useless & have nothing to do with the topic !

Most people on all sides of mpc-forums know first hand how full of **** you are.

Wasn t aware at all but now we all know YOU are ;)

There's a lot of good and knowledgable guys (who own the 5K) not coming to these 5K threads now because of all the hate that's goin' on by non 5K owners

I've had PMs from some 5K owners, telling me that!

That's a real shame for the genuine 5K forum members.

Tomazzzi, call names if you want to, but I've never come across as a hypocrite, which is the only reason why I get bothered by half of Jahromes posts. I'm sure OJ is a good dude in real life so even though that's my own issue it's not all that serious...

Second of all, I don't hate the 5000, I actually might just cop it after everything is ironed out with it, I just don't like how Nukai's been getting down..(the mess with the 1000 among other things)

and as long as I'm still halfway interested in what's going on with the mpc5000, I'll still be visiting this forum. YOU MAD? Continue being the tag team partner that you are..
