Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I'm gonna chalk this one up to a faulty, i.e. incompatible, card then. So any of you that come across a 1 gig Kingston with a picture of a flower on it, think twice.

If that's your explanation, explain the 3 1 Gig PNY cards I have. PNY model number THNCF1G02QC (on the back of the cards that I hold in my hands).

I have a Kingston 1gb card with a Flower on it that I got from SCSI4SAMPLERS and it works fine.

I've tried the 1GB Kingston ones and no luck. Also the same with the Transcend 1GB. The only one which is working fine on my machine is the Transcend 512 one, which however is not working on a friend's SE2, while he is working with the Kingston ones.

My conclusion is that there's not a standard CF card for all MCD's.

BlackImpact, I said nothing about PNY cards in the whole thread.

But yeah, I think the issue is probably a combination of card reader, card and MPC. All I know is that I've had good luck with Sandisk, and 'disk read error' galore with Kingston-- so yeah, no more Kingston for me.
