hi, i've been deciding what to get i've never had a bit of hardware, just software ie fl studio.
i have been crazing over mpc's for ages now and i finally have the money for a 1000 but i saw a decent mv 8000 for bout £550. so i started reading bout the mv. i know the mpc 1000 is a lesser machine but i dont know weather to go for a bargin mv 8000 and start to learn on that and not need to upgrade for a long time or to go with the mpc 1000 and perfect it. also seems to be more help on the net with mpc.

any thoughts
bless

i have no experience with the mv8800,im sure some peeps on here do tho.. As for the mp's...i have a mpc500 and a mpc1000, and i am completely satisfied with the sound and quality these machines produce. It seems like the mp's "phatten" the drums, i love how easy they are to navigate thru, esp. With the bigger screen on the 1k. I am completely satisfied with the sequencer...the only thing now, is that i might want to upgrade to a 2500, but i'll have to more reading up and messing wit it at gc.

featurewise MV runs circles around 1000. but do you need all those features ? which machine do you feel more comfortable with ? have you ever spend any time on either machine, do you like how they feel ?

Yeah ^^^ I was just going to ask if you need all the features on the MV. I think there's a great chance you'll be happy with the 1000- don't underestimate it!
