i went to the guitar center to get a new midi controller, to use when i'm making beats in reason & fruity loops, they had like 5 mpcs in there used, mpc 60, 2000xl, 500 and two other ones. the one that caught my eye was the mpc 1000, reason being, its only $110, yes $110, the guy said it was broken, the pads where broken and so was the sensors, i asked him how much it'd be to fix. but he said he did'nt know, i already have a mpc 1000, the black one, but i figured i'd could use this one tp travel and i could also use it to control the midi on my computer, my question is how much would it cost to fix the pads and sensors, cuz i'm thinking about getting it, or would i come out better buy the mpc 500 they had for 400.

What were the prices and condition of the other MPC's you saw?
My reason is that GC is kinda scandalous and they may know more about that 1k than they are telling you.
The other MPC's should give you a point of reference especially considering $400 for a used 500 is a bit high.
Also before you buy it turn it on and check it out to see if you notice anything else going on with it.
You typically can take a unit with bad pad put it on FULL and bang on the different spots on a pad and get some type of response.

Just get them at VST.
I don't really like MPCStuff because they have a f*cked up system for payment.
When you select PayPal it wants to get an authorization to charge you without giving you a total, shipping cost or item availability. ???

Can't see that making sense at all.

It's a good deal for a keeper but to flip it is marginal, just look at the flood of 1k's on eBayand how low they are selling for.
Remember I said selling for not listing for.

Why not just get Lunatics pads? Can't beat that deal...a working 1000 for $170? Get outta here! THEN it'd be worth selling on ebay! Bet you could sell it for atleast $500. Is it blue or black?
