MPC5000 reviews, bug reports and fellow user support on the most recent standalone, hardware MPC from Akai

I just don't like how Nukai's been getting down.

We are all aware of those pb with the MPC 1000 pads if that s what you are talking about but i don t think it has anything to do with the 5000...Also this story is now more than 3 years old....

I can tell you, NUKAI, like you r calling them, is working hard to solve every pb on the 5000 & add requested features to make users the most happy possible and even if they are not the better team in term of communication they are listenning to users comments trust me.

So i m really tired to see all this non sense & unjustified agressivity about AKAI team cause i can tell you are totaly wrong about them.

If you are interested by the 5000 then you d better be constructive & help us to make this forum the most helpfull possible instead of insulting good dudes like Jerome.

Then we all can help AKAI to correct the bugs on the 5000 & add the features to make it a real beast.

I read the manual and the bugs listed were horrible

This is a $2500 machine whose INITIAL OS RELEASE had some serious issues. Even the bugs fixed in 1.02 were pretty bad.

Then I wondered, "Why would Akai be so open to the public about these bugs?" I couldn't help but laughing and going "wtf" a few times while reading the bug list.

It's almost like they're being human, admitting that the machine has flaws and actually listening to user feedback. OS 1.02 was released like less than a month after the 5000 went on sale, right? That's a pretty fast update.

I hope Akai stays loyal to you 5000 owners and gives you some great updates.

Like most people here you don t even know what you r talking about cause :

1 : you never tried an MPC 5000

2 : you talk from what you read here & not from YOUR personnal experience.

So like most people here you talk bad about something you don t have a clue & you are poluating the forum with false things.

From MY personnal experience with AKAI i can tell you THEY ARE listenning to the public, they take care of every bug listed here & working hard to solve them & add new features.

Actually I was also talking about t he 4k since I bought one as soon as it came out and remember all the bullshit we had to go through throught that whole fiasco believing that akai would make good on their promises.. hate it or love it but people lioke us are the ones that make sure Akai gets their shit together because they know alot of people are upset with their track record. And as far as picking on your good friend jahrome is concerned, I'm just being honest. If he wasn't such a hypocrite(I remember him from years back under different names, once banned, of him causing havoc in the 4k forums), he wouldn't get hated on so much. So remember when you're playing your 5k next time, it's people like us not giving a shit anymore and making sure our voices get heard that's going to benefit you in the long run if NUKAI wants to continue doing business..

peace

It's almost like they're being human, admitting that the machine has flaws and actually listening to user feedback.

The real reason they do it is because the intellectual property and software laws in most of the countries mandate the public disclosure of software changes where the device sold. In short you have tell people what you've changed you if claim to have performed maintenance or improvements. Once the declarations are made they deemed to be "warranties" or public statements of truth which makes them legally binding. What they don't have to tell you is what bugs are not addressed whether they are aware of them or not. In short it's not choice on their part.

Thanx Microsoft.

Alright, it's been a while since I've had internet access (I recently moved) and have been able to moderate these forums.
I don't mind a constructive debate. But all this drama needs to stop. Whether it's from the past or present is irrelevant to me.
Having to spend a few hours of my own spare time trying to catch up on anything of interest is one thing.... but to spend hours sifting through alot of unwarranted insults amongst this forum really ain't how I was expecting to spend all this time.
So let's keep it moving and keep it civil, so I don't have to start deleting posts or locking topics.

Peace

no doubt. i've been there myself plenty of times in the past. got no real beef with anyone either. good to see things starting to work out here with everyone.
yeah i noticed things settled down in some other topics, but wanted to let everyone else who may be reading know that we'll all do our best to keep this forum worth coming back to.
in the past, we lost some valuable members, and i don't want to see anyone stop coming around. :)
