Free Akai MPC 1000 Program Editor Released for OS X

i know most of you guys/gals do not like computers or using a mouse to program softsynths but akai has created a program editor.


MPC Pad 187 is a full program editor for the Akai MPC 1000. The application allows for easy editing and creation of MPC 1000 program files. It can edit all values that are found in the Slider, Mixer, and Program modes of the MPC 1000 (Pads 1, 8, and 7) including their sub-windows.

The application also has some extra features such as the ability to assign note layout chromatically, auditioning of samples directly from the program, and concurrent editing of multiple programs.

i know posting this info is a waste of time because of the hardware vs software argument and there is nothing like turning knobs but i think this is a pretty nice programs for those who do not mind the mouse to program.

Too bad im a PC user not a MAC user huh?

Oh, I don't think that was created by Akai and I don't think Stephen is affiliated with them! But they should HIRE HIM!!! He's a genius!

Anyway, Stephen, when I tried to download your app (on Explorer) it just went to a page with "jibberish." But using Safari, all went well! Just wanted to bring that to your attention, but in all fairness, it could be a glitch on my end .

Great app--sell thru Akai--get royalties!!
